Privacy Policy
Who we are
This website is operated by SmartFix Appliance Repair Corp., 7538 Saddle Trail Ln, Charlotte, NC 28269, United States. For anything to do with your data, call (980) 332-2443 or write to smartfixappliances@gmail.com.
What we collect, and why
- Booking and contact forms. Your name, phone number, e-mail address, service address and what you tell us about the appliance. We use it to quote the job, schedule a technician and follow up about that repair.
- Forms you start but never send. If you type your name, phone number or e-mail into one of our forms and then leave the page without submitting it, what you typed is saved so we can check whether you still need help. We keep these unsent drafts for 90 days and then delete them automatically. Tell us at any time and we will delete yours straight away.
- Calls and text messages. The number you call or text from, the time and length of the call, and — through our call-tracking provider — which page or advert you were looking at when you dialled.
- How the site is used. Pages viewed, the site or advert that sent you, approximate location derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type.
- Security and server logs. IP addresses and request details, kept briefly to block abuse and to fix faults.
We never ask for card numbers or bank details through this website.
Cookies and the tools we use
The website itself sets only the cookies it needs to work — a session cookie that keeps forms and language settings working. The tools below are run by other companies, and they may set their own cookies or identifiers:
- Google Analytics 4 — visitor statistics: which pages are read, for how long, and where visitors came from.
- Google Tag Manager — the container that loads the tags listed here; it collects nothing on its own.
- Google Ads conversion tracking — tells us which advert led to a booking, so we know what to keep paying for.
- CallRail — call tracking: it shows a phone number that records which page or advert produced the call.
- Microsoft Advertising (UET tag) — the same kind of advert measurement for Bing.
- Ahrefs Analytics — anonymous traffic statistics used for search-engine work.
You can refuse all of these with your browser settings, a tracker blocker, or the advertising controls of Google and Microsoft. Blocking them does not stop you from booking a repair.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for other companies' marketing. It is seen by the technician assigned to your job, by the companies that host this site and deliver our e-mail, and by the analytics, advertising and call-tracking providers named above. We also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Repair requests and job records: as long as we need them for warranty, accounting and tax purposes.
- Unsent form drafts: 90 days.
- Analytics and advertising data: for the retention period set by each provider.
Your choices
Write to smartfixappliances@gmail.com to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted; we answer within 30 days. Ask us to stop contacting you and we will, apart from messages about a repair that is already booked.
Children
This website is meant for adults arranging appliance repairs. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data we update this page, and the date below changes with it.
