Problem Description:
A homeowner in Indian Trail, NC, reached out to SmartFix Appliance Repair because their washing machine would not turn on. This issue left the client unable to do laundry, creating an urgent need for a quick and reliable solution.
Solution:
Technician Mike Matveev arrived promptly to inspect the appliance and diagnose the cause of the power failure. He began by checking the power supply to ensure the machine was plugged in and the outlet was delivering electricity.
Mike then examined the door lock mechanism, as some models won’t start unless the door is securely latched. After confirming the door lock was functioning properly, he proceeded to inspect the control panel and power button for signs of wear, malfunction, or disconnection.
He also checked the internal wiring and connections for any loose or damaged components. Lastly, Mike tested the fuses and inspected the control board to rule out electrical faults that might prevent the washer from powering on.
Upon identifying and addressing a faulty connection at the control board, Mike was able to restore power to the washing machine. He ran a test cycle to confirm it was working as expected.
Time Spent: 30 minutes
The client appreciated the efficient service and was relieved to have their washing machine up and running again without the need for major repairs.
